Aahoban, an Association of Bengali Cultural Committee, is organizing Sri Sri Durga Puja at Supertech Cape Town Noida. Durga Puja celebrations this year are going to be bigger and better in the residential society of Cape Town, Noida. A footfall of over thousand is expected with people coming to seek blessings of Maa Durga at this first Durga Puja at Cape Town.

Durga Puja Celebrations

The event will officially start off with kids’ drawing and handwriting competition in the evening of September 24 and conclude on Bijoya Dashami on 30th September. Each day Puja starts at 8 am and concludes by 10 pm with cultural program in the evening.

On Panchami (September 25) a food fair called ‘Anandamela‘ and cultural program by kids in the evening will be organised.

Cultural Evenings

Cultural events are the star attraction of the Durga Puja celebrations at Supertech Cape Town society. Many dance troupes and artists will perform in cultural evenings to make the celebrations entertaining with their reverberating music, songs and dance shows. Performers from previous Saregama shows will perform live for three evenings. Additionally, the celebrations like every year will witness enthusiastic participation of kids and women folks from the society.

What to Expect at Durga Puja

Besides the fun-filled cultural entertainment evenings, there will be 16 food, handicraft, toys and garment stalls too. The organizing committee has raked in support of some big corporate names for sponsorship. Hyundai, Jio, Mother Dairy will also set up their product display stalls at the event on all the five days of festivities. Reliance Jio has confirmed their participation and will make the entire zone wifi-enabled so that you can take  selfies and groupfies and share them instantly.

Shantanu Karmakar, Secretary, Organizing Committee says,

“We believe in Aahvaan, which actually means welcoming all to witness Durga puja and enjoy the grandeur. There are no entry fees since we call it as Sarbajanin Durga Puja, thus people from nearby societies and localities can join in for Puja, Prasad, Bhog, Stall and fair, cultural program.”

Everyday Maa Durga bhog and Prasad will be given to all residents and guests.

Security and Approvals

Durga Puja at Supetech Cape Town Noida will be a totally safe and secure event. All necessary permissions and approvals have been duly taken from different authorities of Noida Authority. The administration and volunteers from society will help to keep vigil all round.

Aahoban, which means ‘welcome’ in English is an Association of Bengali Cultural Committee in Supertech Cape Town, Sector 74, Noida. Aahoban is registered as a trust with Noida Authority. Supertech Cape Town in sector 74, Noida with a resident population of more than 3000 families and neighboring housing society will join in organising the Durga Puja celebrations.
