IAS officer Manish Kumar Verma appointed the new District Magistrate of Gautam Buddha Nagar.
The incumbent DM Gautam Budh Nagar, Suhas LY, promoted and made Secretary Sports and Youth Welfare Department also Director General of Youth Welfare and Prantiya Rakshak Dal. Suhas LY joined as the District Magistrate of Gautam Budh Nagar at the peak of Covid19 pandemic.
Manish Verma – Early Life
Manish Verma finished his schooling from Jawahar Vidya mandir (JVM) Shyamali. He cleared his 12th board exams with flying colors. He was the 2nd State topper in CBSE class XII boards in 2009. Later in 2014, he pursued a dual degree of BTech-MTech in Chemical Engineering from IIT Kanpur.
He is also a trained finance professional and a CFA Charter holder since 2018. He interned at R&D department of IITK and later at Hindustan Lever. Manish worked with Deutsche Bank in Mumbai (2014-2018) as an Associate trading in ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds).

Manish Verma secured 61st rank in the 2017 UPSC exam.
Manish was always a promising student since childhood and it reflected in all his academic endeavors including UPSC exam. He was working in an international investment bank at the time of preparing for UPSC exams. He was inducted in Indian Administrative Services as an Officer Trainee in 2018. Manish Verma was promoted after due completion of his training. He took charge as an Officer in Jharkhand.
Prior to his posting in Gautam Buddh Nagar he served as DM of Jaunpur. He held the appointment as district magistrate of Kaushambi in 2020
Dynamic District Magistrate
IAS Manish Kumar Verma while he held the post of the DM of Jaunpur had gone to listen to the problems of the people. During that time, a case came in front of him that the Lekhpal Ritesh Kumar had issued different caste certificates to two brothers. On this, the DM suspended Lekhpal with immediate effect. Along with this, he instructed all the accountants to sit according to the roster in the Panchayat Bhavan. This made him a hero and was praised generously on social media for his prompt action.
Uttar Pradesh govt transfers 14 IAS officers
Uttar Pradesh govt transferred 14 state IAS officers. This includes Noida’s DM Suhas LY appointed as Secretary Sports and Youth Welfare. Manish Verma currently posted as DM and Collector in Jaunpur will take charge as the new District Magistrate of Noida.

District Magistrate of Shamli district Jaspreet Kaur has been made the new District Magistrate of Sultanpur. Ravindra Kumar has now been sent to the post of DM Shamli. State Principal Secretary PWD Narendra Bhushan has been made the new Industrial Development Commissioner and Principal Secretary Industrial Development of Uttar Pradesh. In place of Shri Bhushan, Ajay Chauhan has been appointed as Principal Secretary, PWD Department.
