DJ Martin Garrix, one of the biggest sensations in the EDM scene this decade, performed live at the epic India tour पOWEर ARENA on December 02, 2018 at Unitech Golf and Country Club, Greater Noida.
“Kaise ho, Dilli?”, inquired 22-year-old Dutch DJ and record producer to the cheering crowd taking everyone by sirprise. DJ garrix played his hit numbers, ‘In The Name Of Love’ and ‘Scared To Be Lonely’ which had the crowd grooving.
DJ Martin Garrix paused for a second while playing his set and asked, “Maza aaya, Dilli?”. The sprinkle of Hindi words made an instant connect making the crowd cheer for him louder.
The Power Arena tour had top notch pyrotechnics, first-of-its-kind SFX, 400 lighting fixtures, 25 units of lasers and a huge LED screen ensured eclectic experience to the audience. Radio Mirchi’s Power Arena India Tour had an impressive lineup with powerhouse opening acts by the likes of Dutch DJs Dyro and Justin Mylo and Polish DJ Blinders and our very own homegrown Shaan.

Martin Garrix – A Phenomenal Journey
Martin Garrix recently clinched the top spot for the third year running in DJ Mag’s “Top 100 DJs”. The winner of the MTV Europe Music Award is the youngest artist to reach the No. 1 spot on Beatport.
Garrix, whose real name is Martijn Gerard Garritsen shot to fame with his 2013 solo release “Animals” that gained unprecedented popularity. This track became the EDM anthem. And then, there has been no turning back for him. He then became a regular at many big music concerts and music festivals and was often seen collaborating with EDM legends.
He went on to work with EDM artistes like Afrojack,Dua Lipa, Hardwell, Khalid and David Guetta, as well as mainstream pop stars Usher for 2015’s “Don’t Look Down” and Bebe Rexha for “In the Name of Love” in 2016. He has worked on remixes with artists like Christina Aguilera and Enrique Iglesias.
Apart from storming the global Electronic Dance Music charts with his monstrous hit tracks like “In the name of love”, “So far away” and “Scared to be lonely”, he has been travelling the world and performing at various music fests such as Coachella, Electric Daisy Carnival and Tomorrowland since he was a teenager.
Not the First Time for Martin Garrix India Tour
This isn’t his first time in the country. He has already performed in Indian cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
He came to India first time in 2013 when he headlined the first-ever edition of Enchanted Valley Carnival (EVC). Second time, Sunburn brought him here for Sunburn Arena Goa in 2015. The third time again Sunburn Arena brought him in November 2016 for a four-city tour joined by Lost Frequencies and Justin Mylo. Garrix was back to headline debut edition of TIMEOUT 72 in December 2017 at Vagator, Goa.
Just few days ago, he performed in Dubai. With back-to-back shows in different cities and countries.
After multiple appearances in India, the undisputed king of the DJ world over the past two years is back and the announcement came from the newly formed brand Boss India who curated the event in partnership with Radio Mirchi.
The first December weekend of 2018, Shailendra Singh and Radio Mirchi brought Garrix to perform in Mumbai and Delhi. “A crazy show with new music and maybe some surprises. He’s dropping new tracks – and you can look forward to several of these being played at the shows.” said the curator of the show. Supported by Guestlist4Good, the event had drawn massive crowds, owing to the immense popularity of the DJ in the subcontinent.
