Shilpotsav 2016 – Annual Crafts and Consumer Fair
Shilpotsav 2016 is crafts and consumer festival held every year where craftsmen showcase their exquisite and unique products in various segments. It is a fusion of craft culture and cuisine. Noida Shilpotsav – an annual 10-day festival organized by the UP Tourism Department since 2009.
Amit Srivastava, deputy director, UP Tourism, and the secretary of the Shilpotsav Organising Committee, was quoted in TOI, “We have planned a theme for every evening, and the slot from 7 to 11pm will be for cultural performances. There will be a Sufi night, a qawwali night, a bhajan sandhya, a rock night, comedy nights and two Bollywood nights as well. We have approached some artists and have submitted their names to the organizing committee.”
The festival promises to be bigger than the previous years with 300 stalls of handicrafts from across the country, and will also have artisans from Thailand putting up their stalls.
