Teej Festival at Dilli Haat

Teej Festival is celebrated on the onset of monsoon. It is basically a women oriented festival where married women adorn themselves with their finest jewelry and wear green sarees. Singing and dancing is integral to the function and so is beautiful henna tattoo on hands. Delhi Tourism holds Teej festival annually for the occasion at the Dilli Haats in the capital.

Teej Bazaar at Dilli Haat is a colorful event with lot of stalls offering mouth-watering delicacies. The highlight of the festival  is the multifarious cuisines from various states of India, and performances by folk artists. A dedicated kids corner, swings and camel ride is another major attraction at Dilli Haat, Pitampura. Mehndi competition, Rangoli making and Bindi competition and other activities too would be held at Dilli Haat in Janakpuri.

  1. Lovely pictures. Thanks for sharing. Dilli Haat is a must do if you are on a vacation in the capital. Under the open sky, numerous little kiosks sell jewellery, paintings, fabrics, saris, pottery, furniture, and of course food from across the country. Check out Dilli Haat timings, entry fee and many more.
