It has been a while since we last checked in on EOD, and a lot has changed. If you’ve been searching for current timings or ticket prices for the bowling alley near GIP, here’s the honest update: EOD, later rechristened Appu Ghar Express, has not reopened since the pandemic shutdown. The Sector 38A space that once had us bowling, riding Jolter, and celebrating birthdays has been shut for years now.

But the EOD name hasn’t disappeared — it’s just moved. The brand has resurfaced as EOD Adventure Park, a 10-acre outdoor set-up at Sanjay Lake, Mayur Vihar, offering zip-lining, archery, boating, a Jungle House obstacle course, and yes, bowling too. It’s become a genuine hangout spot for Delhi NCR families and youngsters looking for a day out. What’s Happening to the Old GIP Site — Entertainment City’s Next Chapter

There’s a bigger story unfolding around the property EOD once called home. The 147.48-acre Entertainment City in Sector 38 — which houses GIP Mall, Gardens Galleria, Worlds of Wonder, WOW Water Park, and KidZania — has been tied up in a long ownership dispute for years. That changed recently when the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) cleared the way for Bhutani Group, through its entity Parmesh Construction Company, to take over the project from Unitech.

Bhutani Group has announced plans for a ₹10,000 crore redevelopment of the site, envisioning a mixed-use destination combining experiential retail, hospitality, and modern commercial space alongside the existing entertainment assets. It’s early days — this is a planned investment, not construction that’s already underway — and there’s no confirmed word yet on what happens to the old EOD footprint specifically. But it means this dormant corner of GIP could see new life in the coming years.

If you had enough of sale-shopping this season or need a little break from regular weekend mall outings, head to Every Other Day (e-o-d), a perfect getaway to hangout with friends and family. This is a bowling lounge adjacent to The Great India Place Mall. Although quite popular with the young crowd it caters to visitors of all ages with a 16-lane bowling alley, food court, bar & restaurant and unlimited rides for kids at the Game Zone.

I have visited this place more than once over a period of time and enjoyed every time I have been here. When e-o-d opened in 2010, they had some amazing offers for bowling – First Round for Rs 150, play the second round for Rs100 and the third for unbelievable Rs 50. Shoes and socks are available on hire at the counter. I was enthralled by such an amazing offer in their initial days. Pity! The offer no longer exists

Games and Rides Zone – JOY

Sometime later they opened a games and rides zone – JOY –  for younger kids. There are plenty of video games which kids can play by buying the coins at the counter. The exciting rides here will give a high adrenaline rush to those seeking the thrill. Experience the Dragon Fury – a roller-coaster ride or enjoy dashing the cars at Bang-Bang. If you want to experience rocket lifts, then take a ride in Cliff Hanger. And for adrenaline junkies – Jolter – is the ride meant for you (in the pic). It is one helluva experience being jolted in a mechanical bowl that twists and turns while rotating at varying speeds.
