Co-working firm DevX enters Noida with two Centers

Gujarat-based co-working firm DevX on Wednesday said it has entered into Noida with the opening of two centers comprising 2,000 desks.

The company, which provides managed office spaces, has opened two centers, having a total of 1.5 lakh square feet of office space, at Sector 62, Logix Cyber Park with 500 desks, and Sector 125 with1500 desks in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, according to a statement.

DevX is a co-working space cum accelerator founded in September 2017 by Umesh Uttamchandani, Parth Shah, and Rushit Shah and a listed entity, Dev Information Technology.

Speaking about the Noida centers, Umesh Uttamchandani, COO of DevX Co-Working said , “Our new Noida center will be spread across two centers i.e. 50,000 sq ft and 1 lakh sq ft, with a further 2 lakh sq ft added, before Q2, 2023. These centers will strengthen its position in North India with Jaipur, Raipur and Chandigarh centers getting operational within a month. We are a national operator now having presence in 11 cities and 20 centers.”

“Over the next year, we will invest Rs 40 crore in expanding our footprints nationally, adding 4 lakhs sq ft and taking our capacity to around 10,000 seats. With a national presence, we stand ready to offer best-in-class facilities to companies and of being the partner of choice for Global Capability centers (GCCs) & Offshore Development Centers (ODCs.),” said Umesh Uttamchandani, Co-Founder, DevX.

DeVX is also looking to make foray into international markets with at least two centers totaling 40,000 sq ft in Dubai and either Singapore or Chicago in the next one year.

India’s co-working space market is likely to cross 50 million square feet by 2023, according to a JLL report. Delhi-NCR along with Bengaluru forms the two major start-up clusters in the country. Here a significant demand comes from big tech firms and well-funded unicorns. The demand for managed office space in co-working centers has grown manifolds during the pandemic as corporates want flexibility.
