Global Festival of Journalism Noida in its eleventh edition was organized from 15th to 17th February 2023
Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chancellor of AAFT University and President of the festival on the formal inauguration of 11th edition of Global festival of Journalism Noida 2023 at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City said,
“We are honored to declare 12th February as the International Day of Journalism, and to mark respect to this day we started Global Festival of Journalism eleven years back. Now not only in India but many foreign countries have already started celebrating 12th February as International Day of Journalism. We are overwhelmed with the success of the decision taken by International Journalism Centre,”
Shaheed Bhagat Singh Poster released at Global Festival of Journalism Noida
A poster commemorating Shaheed Bhagat Singh was released on the occasion at Film City Noida.
Bhagat Singh was a trained journalist who started young. He began his journalistic journey working as an apprentice with well-known media organisations of his time, like Pratap and Vir Arjun. Significantly, he honed his journalistic craft under the editorship of Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi, a pioneer of radical journalism in India and a solid Gandhian political activist.
Dignitaries at Global Festival of Journalism Noida
The festival also saw the august presence of top level officials from around the world.
Alfredo Caldera Charge d’ Affaires of Embassy of Venezuela, Dr Abbas Naseri Tahiri senior journalist from Iran, Heikki Ratna President Finland Chamber of Commerce, Zena Chung Global Goodwill Ambassador from Seoul, South Korea, Narendra Gupta film journalist from Mumbai, Kumar Rakesh senior journalist, Sunil Dang former member of Prasar Bharti and editor in chief of The Day After Magazine, renowned actor Varun Suri, journalist & anchor Nida Ahmed, and Ajay Kumar Festival Director were also present at the function.
Later Sandeep Marwah presented memento to all the dignitaries.
Global Festival of Journalism Noida
Global Festival of Journalism Noida is an event of the journalists, for the journalist and by the journalists. Journalists from print, TV and digital world were in attendance and made the festival a big success.
A series of events were conducted on the sidelines at the 3-day festival. Inauguration of Animation Seminar and Animation Exhibition, Art gallery, Cultural programs, Radio workshop for journalism & mass communication students and many other exciting programs were lined up.
Global Excellence Awards on the occasion were given to Sarfaraz Saifi, Anuraag Muskaan, Dev Shrimali, Padmakant Trivedi, Michelle David, Ajay Verma, K Puttaswamy, Dr. Gururaj Nagathan, Somaiya Maleyur
The event was supported by World Peace Development and Research Foundation & Asian Unity Alliance, International Film and Television Research Centre, International Public Broadcasting Forum, and AAFT University.
