Independence Day celebrations immerse the city of Noida in tricolors every year. School children sing patriotic songs as the Indian national flag is hoisted at various schools in Noida. This is generally followed by a colorful cultural program and felicitation ceremony. This year was no different, in fact, patriotic fervor was a notch higher as people soaked in celebrations of 71st Independence Day in Noida.

Tricolor at the Malls
Indian tricolor was hoisted at the official buildings, residential community centers, schools, colleges and major commercial establishments. The local bazaars and malls were decked up in ‘tiranga’ colors. Every year we share a picture of Independence Day theme decoration in Noida. This time it is an installation at the TGIP mall. Logix mall had done a repeat of last year’s DLF Mall’s decoration. The latest Gardens’ Galleria aka GG Mall has come up with a tricolor chandelier in the center and huge butterflies again in tiranga hues looked attractive. Three lotuses in the color of national flag sit pretty in the Wave Mall (image below). Interestingly, the malls in Noida and other parts of Delhi NCR had installations inspired by Indian Army. Of late, the Army has been in forefront fighting the enemy on the LOC, successfully carrying out surgical strike and honoring the nation with supreme sacrifice. These installations are a fitting tribute to the Indian Army. Salute to their spirit! Jai Hind!
