Hyundai Motor India Ltd on Tuesday launched its much awaited mid-sized sedan ‘The Next Gen Verna’  at the opulent J W Marriott, Aerocity amidst much fanfare. The glam quotient was amped up by the presence corporate honchos, media persons and high profile bloggers.

The Next Gen Verna will come in four manual and two automatic variants. First 20,000 customers will be able to take benefit of introductory prices starting at Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The prices will rise after that. Verna is one of the most loved brand globally with over 8.8 million customers in 66 countries and 3.18 lakh units sold in India . The Next Gen Verna is ‘Intelligent by Design’, it is developed on four strong pillars: Futuristic Design, Dynamic Performance , Super Safety and New Technology & Advanced Features.

Speaking at the launch of The Next Gen Verna, Mr. Y K Koo, MD and CEO, Hyundai Motor India Limited said,

Mr H S Ha, Design Director, Hyundai Motor Company on the launch of The Next Gen Verna illuminated on the ideation, design and engineering of the 5th Generation Next Gen Verna. The fifth generation Verna is based on a newly developed K2 platform and has been developed with an investment of Rs 1,040 crore. The all new Verna will be available in 7 colors (four new colors) keeping selection of color spectrum with Indian customer in mind and to match with sporty and dynamic characteristics of Next Gen Verna. It ranges from flame orange to phantom black. He said,

The  Next Gen Verna comes loaded with a host of premium and segment unique comfort features. It has Front Ventilated seats which is a first in this for keeping seats cool in hot weather of Delhi and most parts of India. Hyundai Launches Global Sedan Next Gen Verna in the price band of Rs 7.99-12.23 lakh for petrol variants while the diesel trims are tagged between Rs 9.19-12.61 lakh. It will be available in an array of 7 exterior color options with 12 Variants.
