Celebrating childhood and creativity on the occasion of Children’s Day, adidas India and KidZania Delhi NCR felicitated three talented winners of #adidasbyme shoe design creators. The winners are Navya Singh from Noida, Priyanshi Seth from Ghaziabadand Khushi Nahar from Pune. The winners were presented their own creations. That’s a dream come true…no?!
# adidasbyme Contest
adidas, the world’s leading sportswear innovator and KidZania, a global Indoor theme park, came together earlier this year to ignite creativity among younger minds with the #adidasbyme initiative. The #adidasbyme contest helped children unleash their creativity by designing their own shoe.
Kids could visit KidZania in Noida or Mumbai and role-play as Chief Shoe Designer for adidas. As part of their role, they got to create their own adidas shoe by designing their own patterns, choosing colors and even customizing the shoe with their name. With this unique initiative adidas and KidZania, could truly bring in realism and were able to connect the activity with the real world.
The activity was successfully carried out at both KidZanias’ as well as online and received over whopping 12,000 entries. The top 3 winners of this contest were announced today on the occasion of Children’s Day and were rewarded by having their shoe designs turned into reality. The winners were ecstatic seeing their designs come alive when they were presented with the actual shoe.
Renu Singh, mother of winner Navya Singh from Noida said,
“Navya is a multitalented girl and as parents we are extremely grateful to adidas for coming up with an initiative like #ADIDASBYME to promote young talent in India. We have always encouraged our daughter to express her creativity and her win makes us feel proud of her. We hope she continues to pursue her creative thinking.”
Navya, the winner of the Shoe Design Contest, is a student of Class 8th from Amity School, Noida. She comes across as a warm and confident girl. Her passion for doodles and Mehndi design beautifully amalgamated into a prize-winning shoe design which adidas turned into reality. Priyanshi, the runners up of the contest, had school activities drawn on the shoe with a scintillating orange hue as the background. Every design was a winner in its own sense showcasing the creativity of young geniuses.
Khushi Nahar, a winner from Pune said,
“I love designing and the contest immediately caught my attention when I went to KidZania earlier this year. I am so excited to have won the competition and cannot wait to see my polka dotted shoe!”
Actually Khushi’s design had the simplicity and was high on wearable quotient. She explained she loves blue color and polka dots. Voila! You have a world class fab shoe design!
These shoes will also be on display at KidZania Delhi NCR. The Top 10 winners have also won vouchers from adidas and KidZania.

KidZania is a popular Global Indoor Theme park that inspires, educates and empower kids, helping them understand and manage their world better. As you all know, KidZania was founded in Mexico City in 1997 by a young entrepreneur, Xavier Lopez, who dreamed of creating a place where kids could have fun while enjoying real-life experiences. The first edutainment center was opened in 1999 and successfully crossed more than 60 Million visitors. As of today, KidZania is present in 24 cities across 19 countries. In India, KidZania is operational in 2 locations – Delhi and Mumbai. KidZania Mumbai had opened on September 10, 2013 while the Noida facility of KidZania Delhi NCR opened in May 2016. Speaking on the occasion, Viraj Jit Singh – Chief Marketing Officer, KidZania India said,

Artistic Dance group of KidZania presented some peppy dances to set the mood for celebrations. Children’s Day is a day recognized to celebrate children. And in true spirit, KidZania and adidas presented bagful of goodies, adidas footballs and cricket bats to the under-privileged children of Shiksha Sansthan, a non-profit. Kidzania India has tied up with the NGO as part of their CSR initiatives to give back to the society.
