Section 163 Imposed in Noida, Greater Noida Ahead of Bakrid
Ahead of Bakrid celebrations, the Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Commissionerate has imposed Section 163 across Noida and Greater Noida to maintain law and order during the festive period.
Under the order, public gatherings, protests, processions, and demonstrations without prior administrative approval will not be permitted. The restrictions have been imposed as a precautionary measure considering Eid-ul-Adha prayers, crowd movement, and overall public safety arrangements.
Police officials stated that the directive aims to ensure peaceful celebrations and prevent any disruption of public order. Authorities have also appealed to residents to follow designated guidelines regarding Eid prayers, animal sacrifice, sanitation, and traffic movement.

The administration has warned that strict action may be taken against individuals or groups found violating the imposed restrictions.
Security deployment has been intensified across sensitive areas, major mosques, Eidgahs, marketplaces, and transportation hubs in Noida and Greater Noida ahead of the festival.
Officials have urged citizens to cooperate with local authorities and celebrate Bakrid responsibly while adhering to public safety norms.

The Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Commissionerate has imposed Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita in Noida and Greater Noida to maintain peace during Bakrid (Eid-ul-Adha) celebrations.

Eid-ul-Zuha Traffic Advisory Issued for Noida and Greater Noida
The Traffic Police of Commissionerate Gautam Budh Nagar has issued a traffic advisory ahead of Eid-ul-Zuha (Bakrid) celebrations on May 28, 2026. Special traffic arrangements and diversions will be implemented around major mosques and Eid prayer locations across Noida and Greater Noida to ensure smooth movement and public safety.
According to the advisory, Eid prayers are expected to take place between 5:00 AM and 11:00 AM. In view of anticipated crowd movement and heavy vehicular pressure around key religious sites, traffic diversions will be enforced as required.
Traffic Diversions Around Jama Masjid, Sector 8 Noida
Traffic movement may be regulated around Udyog Marg and adjoining stretches including Golchakkar Chowk, Sandeep Paper Mill, Harola Chowk, Bans Balli Market Tiraha, Sector 8/10/11/12 Chowk, Jhundpura Chowk, and Sector 06 Police Chowki Tiraha.
Diversion Routes
- Vehicles moving from Jhundpura Chowk towards Golchakkar Chowk will be diverted via Jhundpura Chowk, Stadium Square, and Rajnigandha Square.
- Vehicles coming from Shivani Furniture Chowk towards Harola or Nayabans will be redirected through Stadium Square and Rajnigandha Square.
- Traffic moving from Golchakkar Chowk Sector 15 towards Jhundpura Chowk will use Rajnigandha Chowk and Stadium Chowk.
- Vehicles travelling from Nayabans towards Shivani Furniture Chowk will be diverted via Rajnigandha Chowk and Stadium Chowk.
- Traffic from Harola Chowk towards Shivani Furniture will move through T-Series Chowk and Stadium Chowk.
Nithari Mosque, Sector 30 Noida
- Vehicles travelling towards Sector 18 via Nithari from Sector 31/25 Chowk will be diverted through the elevated road.
- Traffic coming from Sector 18 towards Sector 31/25 Chowk via Nithari will be redirected through Nithari Chowki Tiraha and Shashi Chowk.
Kasba Surajpur Mosque Diversions
- Vehicles travelling from Surajpur Ghanta Chowk towards Surajpur town will be diverted via Mozer Bear Roundabout and Surajpur Town Outpost.
- Traffic moving from Kasba Chowki Surajpur Tiraha towards Surajpur Ghanta Chowk will be redirected through Mozer Bear Roundabout.
Other Sensitive Routes
Traffic diversions may also be implemented around mosques and prayer sites located at:
- Labour Chowk / Khoda Tiraha
- Chhijarsi
- NSEZ Phase-2
- Bhangel
- Kuleshra / Haldwani
- Kasba Aichhar
- Dadri
- Jewar
The Traffic Police stated that emergency vehicles including ambulances and fire services will be allowed safe passage during the diversion period.

It is to inform the general public that on the occasion of Eid-ul-Zuha (Bakrid) on 28.05.2026 in Commissionerate Gautam Budh Nagar, prayers are proposed to be offered from 05:00 am to 11:00 am. In view of this, in case of heavy traffic pressure on the roads around Jama Masjid Sector 08 Noida situated on Udyog Marg (Golchakkar Chowk, Sandeep Paper Mill, Harola Chowk, Bans Balli Market Tiraha, Sector 8.10.11.12 Chowk, Jhundpura Chowk, Sector 06 Police Chowki Tiraha), traffic will be diverted as per requirement to provide safe and smooth traffic system to the general public, details of which are as follows.
- Jama Masjid Sector 08 Noida
Vehicles coming from Jhundpura Chowk towards Golchakkar Chowk will be able to reach their destination via Jhundpura Chowk, Stadium Square and Rajnigandha Square.
Vehicles coming from Shivani Furniture Chowk towards Harola/Nayabans will be able to reach their destination via Shivani Furniture Chowk, Stadium Square and Rajnigandha Square.
Vehicles going from Golchakkar Chowk Sector 15 towards Jhundpura Chowk will be able to reach their destination via Golchakkar Chowk, Rajnigandha Chowk and Stadium Chowk.
Vehicles going from Nayabans towards Shivani Furniture Chowk will be able to reach their destination via Nayabans, Rajnigandha Chowk and Stadium Chowk.

The traffic going towards Sector 18 via Nithari from Sector 31.25 Chowk will be able to reach its destination via the elevated road from Sector 31.25 Chowk.
Traffic going from Sector 18 towards Sector 31.25 Chowk via Nithari will be able to reach its destination via Nithari Chowki Tiraha and Shashi Chowk. - Kasba Surajpur Mosque
Traffic going from Surajpur Ghanta Chowk towards Surajpur town will be able to reach its destination via Mozer Bear roundabout and Surajpur town outpost.
Traffic coming from Kasba Chowki Surajpur Tiraha towards Surajpur Ghanta Chowk will be able to reach its destination via Kasba Chowki Surajpur Tiraha and Mozer Bear Roundabout.
Apart from the above, traffic will be diverted as per requirement on the routes around the following mosques such as Labour Chowk/Khoda Tiraha, Chhijarsi, NSE Z Phase-02, Bhangel, Kuleshra/Haldwani, Kasba Aichhar, Dadri, Jewar.
During the traffic diversion as above, emergency vehicles (medical/fire service) will be allowed to pass safely.
