June 21 falls on a Sunday this year, which means the 12th International Yoga Day lines up perfectly with a day off. The official theme announced by the Ministry of AYUSH is “Yoga for Wellness, Wisdom and World Peace,” with a specific focus on non-communicable diseases and mental health. For Noida and Greater Noida residents, that Sunday morning has multiple options — from a free park session in your own sector to a mall-hosted event with a yoga mat and a dri-fit T-shirt as takeaways.
Here is what is confirmed, what to expect, and how to register.
The District Pattern: What Typically Happens in Gautam Buddha Nagar
Noida’s Yoga Day celebrations follow a predictable and well-organized structure. The district administration coordinates a flagship event at a major public venue — in 2024, thousands gathered at the Sector 21 Noida Stadium and Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Stadium in Greater Noida, with the district administration facilitating the celebrations. Expect a similar anchor event at Noida Indoor Stadium, Sector 21A in 2026. Watch for announcements from the district administration and Noida Authority as June 21 approaches.
Beyond the anchor event, residential societies and complexes across Noida and Greater Noida participate district-wide, with resident welfare associations encouraging residents to incorporate yoga into their routines. If your society has an active RWA or AOA, check with them — many organize their own morning sessions independently.
Confirmed Events: June 21, 2026
Active Noida — International Day of Yoga at DLF Mall of India
Date: Sunday, June 21, 2026 Time: 6am onwards Venue: Gate No. 3, DLF Mall of India, Sector 18, Noida Cost: ₹100 onwards Organizer: Piku Sports Contact: customercare.pikusports@gmail.com | WhatsApp: +91 78400 99793

This is a ticketed event run under the DLF Mall of India Active Noida initiative. The session follows the AYUSH Common Yoga Protocol and includes pranayama, dhyana, and fitness challenges led by a certified trainer. A drawing competition for children (ages 5 to 16) runs alongside the yoga session.
All registered participants receive a yoga mat, dri-fit T-shirt, and refreshments. Drawing competition participants receive a kit separately. Photography and a dedicated photo zone are included.
Why it works for Noida families: Sector 18 is metro-accessible (Blue Line, Sector 18 station is directly adjacent to the mall). Parking at DLF MOI is ample. The combination of children’s activities and adult yoga makes this practical for households attending together. The 5:30am start means you are done before the heat sets in.
Noida Sunday Live — International Yoga Day Celebration at Gaur City Mall
Date: Sunday, June 21, 2026 Time: 5:30am (yoga session) to approximately 7:30am (rewards and refreshments) Venue: Gate No. 4, Gaur City Mall, Sector 4, Greater Noida West Organizer: Coach Atul (+91 75032 55287) Cost: ₹99 onwards (via Townscript) Duration: Approximately 90 minutes

The session runs yoga and fitness from 5:30 to 6:30am, followed by special performances from 6:40 AM and rewards, goodies, and refreshments from 7:00am onwards. Open to all fitness levels and age groups. Slots are limited, so registration in advance is advised. No refunds after successful registration.
Why it works for Greater Noida West residents: Gaur City Mall is one of the most accessible community hubs in Greater Noida West. Coach Atul runs the Noida Sunday Live series through the year, so this is an established organizer rather than a one-off pop-up. At ₹99, the entry cost is nominal.
Park and Community Sessions: Across Noida Sectors
Several neighborhood fitness groups and coaches organize open-air sessions across Noida and Greater Noida in the days leading up to and on June 21. Confirmed or regularly active locations include:
- Noida Stadium Park, Sector 21A
- Sector 62 D-Park
- Sector 115 Park
- Greater Noida City Park
- NTPC Park, Sector 33

These sessions are typically organized by local fitness coaches and resident groups. In the lead-up to June 21, many parks host daily morning sessions from June 15 onwards with certified instructors, culminating in a main 6am to 8am session on the day itself. The Yamuna and Hindon riverbanks also see organized “Harit Yoga” sessions — a format that combines yoga, tree plantation, and cleanliness drives.
Practical note: Park sessions are generally free or ask for a nominal contribution. Arrive 10 minutes early. Bring your own mat if you have one. These sessions tend to draw a crowd, so arriving at a well-known park like Sector 21A without checking with a local coach first means you may not know the exact assembly point. Follow Noida Authority’s social media handles and your RWA WhatsApp groups for last-minute location pins.
Several spiritual centers and ashrams in Noida, including in Sector 40 and Sector 62, also observe Yoga Day with in-house programs. Check directly with your nearest center.
For Deeper Practice: Ananda Sangha Noida, Sector 40
If the community event format is not for you, Ananda Sangha Noida offers a different entry point. Situated at E-49, Sector 40, Noida, the center is dedicated to the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda and offers something for everyone, embracing people from all walks of life. Their structured introductory courses cover meditation and the path to Kriya Yoga — a system grounded in breath-based techniques rather than physical postures.
The next batch of introductory meditation sessions (Step 1 on the path to Kriya Yoga) is scheduled for Sundays in early June 2026, with online options also available. Contact the center to confirm the June 21 schedule and whether a special session is planned for Yoga Day. Ananda Delhi
This is a good option for residents of Sector 40 and nearby sectors (Sector 39, Sector 41, Sector 44) who want something quieter and more structured than a mass outdoor event.
Also Celebrating: Yogoda Satsanga Sakha Ashram, Sector 62
The Yogoda Satsanga Sakha Ashram is located at B-4, Sector 62, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Noida. The YSS ashram has a history of observing International Yoga Day with dedicated programs at the Noida Ashram. Contact the ashram directly to confirm their 2026 schedule.
2026 Context: What Makes This Year Different
International Yoga Day and Father’s Day both fall on June 21, 2026 — a rare convergence. If you have been looking for a way to get the whole family moving on Father’s Day morning, the DLF Mall of India event (children’s drawing competition included) or a sector park session is a practical choice before the day’s other plans.
The Ministry of AYUSH has launched a 100-day countdown program leading up to June 21, 2026, including yoga activities across 100 cities and mass demonstrations at 100 iconic locations nationwide. Noida’s district administration is expected to be part of this national framework, which means the Sector 21 Indoor Stadium is likely to host an official event. Check the Noida Authority website and district administration announcements as the date approaches.
