IAS officer Ritu Maheshwari has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Noida Authority, according to a government order which also affected several other transfers.
Maheshwari, who was serving as the Ghaziabad District Magistrate, replaces Alok Tandon, who has been relieved as the Noida Authority CEO, but will continue as its chairman, said the Uttar Pradesh government order issued on Friday night, July 12, 2019.
Ritu Maheshwari 2003-batch IAS
Ritu Maheshwari is a 2003-batch Uttar Pradesh cadre Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officer.
Maheshwari has held key administrative positions in Amroha, Ghazipur, Shahjahanpur, and Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh.
Earlier, she served as the district magistrate of Ghaziabad before transferred to Noida. She held the appointment of Vice-Chairman of the Agra Development Authority. She also served as the district magistrate of Amroha, Ghazipur, Pilibhit, and Shahjahanpur. She also served as the Managing Director of Kanpur Electric Supply Company Limited.

Maheshwari studied Electrical Engineering at Punjab Engineering College before joining IAS,
Her husband, Mayur Maheshwari is also an IAS officer. He is also a UP-cadre IAS officer. He also studied engineering before joining IAS.
Who replaces whom
Ajay Shankar Pandey has been transferred from Muzaffarnagar to Ghaziabad to replace Maheshwari.
Alok Tandon, a 1986-batch IAS officer, will also continue to work as the Managing Director of the Noida Metro Rail Corporation and the Chairman of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), as per the UP government order.
Noida Authority’s Additional CEO Indra Vikram Singh has been transferred to Shahjahanpur, where he will be posted as the DM, the order said.
Who is Ritu Maheshwari?
Ritu Maheshwari is a 2003-batch Uttar Pradesh cadre Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officer. She is currently the Managing Director of the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) and became the Noida Authority’s CEO in 2019. She became the CEO of the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) in 2022.
