Uttar Pradesh government posted Chandra Kant as new district magistrate of Gautam Budh Nagar. In a major reshuffle on Friday, 20 IAS officers and 67 PCS officials were transferred including DM of GB Nagar BA V Rajamauli. (October 10, 2014)
Chandra Kant, a 1980 batch officer, was in waiting before his new posting.
The state government also appointed the Agra additional district magistrate (Finance), Chandra Prakash Singh, as registrar of the Gautam Budh University, while Rajamauli has been put on waiting list.
Singh replaced Pusyapati Saxena. PCS officer Rakesh Kumar Singh has been given charge of the Ghaziabad municipal corporation. Other officials from Noida and Greater Noida who got promoted were Akhilesh Singh and Rajesh Prakash, both deputy CEOs of Noida Authority, who were made additional CEOs.
